Mobilizing a Majority Against MAGA Extremism

We’re at a crossroads. One path leads to a democratic trifecta that codifies abortion rights and passes democracy reform. The other path leads to the implementation of MAGA’s 900-page “Project 2025” - a detailed plan for making Trump a dictator, in his words, “on day one.” After mobilizing a grassroots movement to build the Blue Wave in 2018, defeat Donald Trump in 2020, and stop the supposedly inevitable red wave in 2022, Indivisible is launching Project 2024: Majority Over MAGA, a nationwide program to build a new Democratic trifecta, reelect President Biden, and mobilize a majority against the anti-democracy, anti-abortion politics of MAGA. This program is rooted in the strength of the thousands of local Indivisible groups across the country and a groundbreaking innovative strategy for voter engagement.

Our Strategy

Through Project 2024: Majority Over MAGA, Indivisibles across the country will work to turn out a winning electoral coalition in key races that will win a new Democratic trifecta. Too many voters this year are disaffected or unengaged—but we know that the ones we need to turn out in order to win don’t like the extremism of MAGA. They care about our democracy and abortion rights, and if they turn out based on these issues, we will win.

Building a New Democratic Trifecta

The 2024 election is an uphill battle for Democrats. The Senate map leaves no room for error, and we can’t count on voter enthusiasm for the top of the ticket to carry us to victory.

It’s a national election, but we all know that control of the House, Senate, and presidency will come down to a small subset of states. We’re targeting 18 of the highest-priority House races and the top three most competitive senate races this year, with deep investment and partnership with local Indivisible groups.

Fight Anti-Democracy and Anti-Abortion Politics

Republicans are working hard to distract the electorate from their unpopular extremism at the core of their campaign for 2024. We know the truth: if elected, Republicans led by Donald Trump will attack our institutions and elections and advance a national abortion ban. These are central pillars of the MAGA agenda, despite being deeply unpopular with voters. We have to start shouting our message from every platform we can find: Donald Trump is a danger to our democracy, and MAGA Republicans are coming for our rights.
